Aguayo is a rectangular carrying cloth used in traditional comunities in the Andes region. People use it to carry children or all kind of items in it on their backs.

This aguayo from Bolivia is a vintage piece from the mid-20th Century. As you can see from the photos, it bear the marks of time and of their prior Andean owners.  This is a gorgeous piece of art and of history that deserve a future of continued use and appreciation.
